BLOXOM, Jack Warner, affectionately known as "Poppy," 81, of Henrico, entered the gates of heaven on May 9, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard L. and Mildred E. Bloxom. He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 53 years, Nancy Turner Bloxom; two daughters, Nanette Bloxom and Jackie Bloxom Hunt; a son-in-law, Stuart Hunt; two grandchildren, Kaylen and Austin Hunt; and a great-granddaughter, Aceley Rea Hunt, all of Richmond. Also left to cherish his memory is a much loved sister-in-law and her husband, Betty T. and Marvin M. Pulley; and nephew, Vin Pulley of Windsor. Jack grew up on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. He attended the University of Richmond and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He received an award for an honorable career of 35 years of service to the Government of the United States given by the U.S. Postal Service. He was a dedicated member of Derbyshire Baptist Church, the Koinonia Bible Class, and was a proud member of the "Golden Tones" Senior Adult Choir. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Derbyshire Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the "Golden Tones" choir of Derbyshire Baptist Church.
