John Van Slochteren 1916 - 2013 John Van Slochteren, 96, of Bristol, Wis., passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013 at his home. He was born Nov. 30, 1916, in Eagle, Wis., the son of the late Cornelius and Nettie (VanVuren) Van Slochteren. John had been nearly a lifelong resident of Bristol, graduating from Wilmot High School in 1936 and then from the University of Wisconsin in 1940.
