Mr. John Carver Fields, age 98 of Griffin, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Gentiva Hospice at Emory Midtown. Mr. Fields was a lifelong resident of Spalding County and the son of the late William Dudley Fields, Sr. and the late Amy Carver Fields. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the South Pacific in WWII. He then worked at Thomaston Mills (Griffin Division) until retirement.
