Fred, John T. age 77 of Allen Park, Michigan, died peacefully in his sleep at home. Funeral services were held over Memorial Day weekend at Voran Funeral Home and Saint Mary Magdalen Church. His cremated remains were placed in the grave of his late wife, Rosemary at St. Patrick's-Divine Grace Cemetery in Carleton, Michigan, on August 21, on their wedding anniversary. John was a veteran of the United States Army. He coached the Allen Park novice hockey program in the 70's and 80's teaching skills to the young and mentoring future coaches. John retired from a position in Tool & Die Engineering Management at Ford Motor Company after 42 years of service. He was an active leader in the Ford Frame Plant Survivor Retiree group. His passions included his family, travel, and photography John was a friend to all -- mentor to many. John's parents and sister Barbara preceded him. Left to cherish his memory is his sister Charlotte, children Diana, Sandra, Cheryl, and John Jr., grandchildren: Erik, Carrie, Jonathon, Kyle, Ally, Cory, Carlie, Olivia, Garrett, Gabi, and great-grandson Axel. John's desired philanthropy (in memory of Rosemary) was the Josephine Ford Cancer Center Downriver. His family wishes to convey their deep appreciation to all who so graciously expressed their sympathy and shared wonderful memories of both John and Rosemary at the services in May and throughout this intervening time.
