Joseph Mancuso Obituary


Joseph Frank Mancuso

1920-2012 Joseph Frank Mancuso, age 91, recently of Lake County, Fla., passed away on September 17, 2012.

He was born in North Adams, on September 26, 1920, the son of Frank and Mary Crelia Mancuso. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer for the U.S. Army Research and Development Center at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, for many years. He was a Veteran of World War II and Korea and honorably served our country in the U.S. Navy from 1939 to 1952.

He is survived by his three children, Angela Mancuso of Springfield, Virginia, Marisa Barnes of Centreville, Virginia, and John Mancuso of Alexandria, Virginia; a sister, Mary Maisonnade; six grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother John J. Mancuso, Seaman Second Class, US Navy, who was killed in action during World War II in Italy, July 11, 1944; and his sister Helen Mary Peters, of North Adams, on July 19, 2011.

Memorial contributions may be made to The United States Navy Memorial.

He is interred is at Quantico National Cemetery.
