FOLEY, Michael Joseph, 80, of King William, Va., joined his Savior in heaven Wednesday, March 20, 2013. He was born in Hopewell, Va. and attended Hopewell High School and was All State in both basketball and football. He attended VMI and continued his football career as half-back. Michael entered the Army and served for two and a half years. He later attended law school at University of West Virginia. Michael worked for the Department of Justice, Food and Drug Administration and retired as vice president of Regulatory Affairs for Abbott Laboratories in North Chicago, Ill. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ann; four daughters, Nancy Embrey (Mike) of King William, Dawn Smith (Linwood) of King William, Susan Croxton (Brad) of Warsaw, Judith Foley-Metzger (Rick) of King William; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at Colosse Baptist Church, 23945 King William Rd., West Point, Va. 23181. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, 12 noon to 2 p.m. at Vincent Funeral Home, 417 11th St., West Point, Va. 23181.
