Marshall Evans "Granddaddy" Marshall Evans "Granddaddy", 82, of Schuyler, died on Friday, July 12, 2013. He was born on July 8, 1931, in Schuyler, son of the late Clarence Lee Evans and Alma Clements Evans. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Susie Booth Evans; a daughter, Brenda Evans; and two brothers, Homer and Norman. He was a retired Master Electrician with over 30 years of service with Frank Ix & Sons of Charlottesville, and a United States Army veteran. He is survived by his daughter, Becky Brown and husband, David, of Schuyler; one sister; Ruby Napier; four brothers, Raymond, Howard, Otha, and Dewey Evans; four grandchildren, Wesley Evans and friend ,Leana Price, Jennifer Pearce and husband, Hunter, Kate Forrer and friend, Kyle Walker, and Alex Forrer and friend, Shannon Spradlin; one great-grandchild, Rowyn Spradlin; a very special friend, Jennifer Hunt as well; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A funeral service will be held 7 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013, at Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston, with the Reverend James Jetton officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the chapel.
