Roland P. Cayer Obituary

Roland Cayer, age 84 of Fall River formerly Brockton passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Alma C. (Caron) Cayer. Born in Woonsocket, RI, he was the son of the late Herve and Della (Cyr) Cayer. A U.S. Army Veteran having served during the Korean War. After returning from service Mr. Cayer was a Shoe cutter for many years working with King Leather and Walkover Shoe Company. He and his wife lived in Brockton for 40 years. Roland was a parishioner of St. Mary's Cathedral, a member of its Senior Citizen Club and of VFW Post 486 in Fall River In addition to his wife of 58 years he is survived by two sisters Lucille Picard and Gertrude Bridge, both of Fall River, as well as several nieces and nephews Mr. Cayer's funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 9:00AM from the BOULE FUNERAL HOME, 615 Broadway, Fall River, MA, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St Mary's Cathedral, Spring Street, Fall River, MA. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00PM to 8:00PM. Flowers are welcome or memorial gifts may be to American Diabetes Association, P.O.
