SGT. KENNETH WEBB Obituary


WEBB, Sgt. Kenneth Raymond Sr. "Peanut," 63, of Varina, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 23, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Octavia and James Arnold Webb. He is survived by his children, Kenneth Webb Jr. and Melissa Long (Rob), and their mother, Joyce Sellers; grandson, Kyle Scott Webb; brothers, Ernest Damron (Arlene), James Webb (Shirley), Ronald Webb (Betty) and Harold Webb; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Peanut was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. His love and passion was bluegrass music and, above all, baseball, which he played, coached and umpired, and mentored many young players. A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, where a service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 28. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park.
