Thomas D. "Tom" Clark Obituary

Thomas D. Clark Thomas D. "Tom" Clark, 79, of Wytheville, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2012. He was the son of the late Earl Alexander and Reva Hazel Hackett Clark.

Thomas was a United States Army veteran and a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church. He was an avid cattle farmer and a member of the American Simmental Association where he received the Golden Book Award, which recognizes individuals that have made significant contributions to the development of the Simmental breed.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Hansen; and brother, Jimmy Clark.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ruth Yonce Clark of Wytheville; a brother, John Douglas Clark of Charlottesville; a sister-in-law, Linda Yonce Hagy of Wytheville; nieces and nephews, Ashley Clark of Richmond, Scott Clark of Charlottesville, Candice Hodgson of London, England, Jeff Hagy and James Hagy, both of Wytheville, Joni Hagy Harrell, of Keedysville, Maryland. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at Grubb Funeral Home with the Reverend Harvey Atkinson officiating. Interment will be held at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until time of service at the Grubb Funeral Home.

Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
