Elizabeth Renner '54 Obituary


RENNER, Elizabeth "Betty" peacefully went to heaven to be with her beloved Jesus on March 9, 2013 in St Petersburg. She was 80 years old. She was surrounded by the love and peace of her Savior and her devoted family. Betty was a passionate educator and a great advocate for children. She served as principal and a Kindergarten teacher for Good Shepherd School in North Fort Myers for 26 years. Betty is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Rev. Martin Renner; her much-loved children: daughter, Anne Schickowski and husband, James; daughter, Kris Minneti and husband, Jeff; son, Scott and wife, Analia. Betty's grandchildren were the joy of her life. They are: Josh Minneti and his wife, Samantha; Jordan Minneti, Christian and Cameron Renner. Betty's family would especially like to thank Betty's caregiver, Kristin, all of the staff in "A" wing, the rehab department, Suncoast Hospice and everyone that made her stay at Bon Secours, St Pete more comfortable. A celebration of life for Betty will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 11 am at BridgePoint Church, St. Petersburg.
