May 23, 2015 "In Loving Memory of our Beloved Friend, Riley B B King:

Today is a sad day for so many of us family, friends, and all of us in the music industry. We share in your loss, and can only image how much he will be missed, yet in spirit, he will live on in our hearts.
We met over 40 years ago and since that time have shared the stage at various concerts. I looked forward to seeing him and talking about MUSIC. A perfectionist, he was always cognizant of his fans giving the best that he and Lucille, and the band good give. You knew he was hearing what he wanted to hear. With a big, wide smile, he would toss his head to the side to embrace Lucille, giving her the opportunity to speak for him.
He will be missed, but his legacy will live on forever. Even now his story continues to be unwritten when we envision the impact of his love for his family and friends, his contribution to the music industry, and his genuine personality, we can truly say that he will live on in our hearts and minds.
So much more can be said but it all means one thing - We loved him. Our dear friend has made it to the main stage. No more rehearsals, no more long journeys. His robe now awaits him as he joins The Heavenly Choir.
As I offer these few words to the Family, I pray that they will somehow bring some comfort to you. To The B. B. King Orchestra and staff, he will always be there with you as you continue to sequel his legacy. We know how much he loved you. And, he would certainly insist that the show must go on. To the many fans and friends, the thrill is gone as we can no longer look forward to a future concert.but we have the airways, the cds and DVDs whenever we want to reminisce and recant the music played and sung by this giant of a man.

There is now a cloud, but a rainbow will appear
To brighten this dismal moment, and dry your every tear.
Think of the laughter, and the memories to treasure
Of the good times shared that are beyond measure.
It's okay to cry now if you must, for today will soon past
You'll be showered with loving memories that will forever last.

With Love, Respect and Admiration,
Marshall Thompson (The Godfather of All Vocal Groups)
and The Chi-Lites Family" - Marshall Thompson (Chicago, IL)
