PUGH, Teresa Duncan, 64, of Warsaw, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013 at Henrico Doctors Hospital, surrounded by her family after a valiant, courageous struggle with breast cancer. Teresa and her husband, Dr. Roy E. Pugh, came to Warsaw and built a dental practice together; he taking care of patients and she was the office manager. Patients and staff knew they could always look forward to her warm smile and a big hug. In addition to her husband of 44 years, survivors are her daughter, Kelli Pugh Smith (Mike); her son, Christopher E. Pugh (Angie); her beautiful grandchildren, Addy and Eason Smith, Jackson and Cooper Pugh and Maggie Waltrip; her mother, Margaret Duncan; sister, Jody Jorgensen (Bill); sister-in-law, Shirley Martin (Vince); nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and a large, wonderful group of friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Duncan; beloved "Mammaw" Cleo Winesett; special mother-in-law, Edna Pugh; and father-in-law, Roy Pugh. Teresa was an annual participant of the Race for the Cure, an energetic walker and an avid reader. She was especially fond of her book club, loved to garden, and looked forward to spring when the flowers and trees bloomed. She was generous, tenacious, beautiful, full of life and loved her family and friends fiercely. We will miss her with every breath we take and we will honor her legacy by living our lives with joy and remembering to "Laugh Dance Sing" every day. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Welch Funeral Home, Marks Chapel, from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made in her name to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
