Bronze Star Memorial Site: Notable Deaths & Obituaries

The Bronze Star is a U.S. military decoration awarded for bravery, acts of merit or meritorious service. Established in 1944, the medal has been awarded in every armed conflict in which the U.S. has been involved since WWII. The award is also open to members of foreign armed forces assisting in U.S. military efforts. This memorial site was created to honor the brave men and women who have been awarded Bronze Stars.

Kenneth E. Trent, 83, of Van Buren, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at his daughter's home after a lengthy illness. Kenneth was born November 4, 1930 in Philipsburg, PA. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church. Kenneth was a Korean War Veteran serving in the 5th Armored Division and was wounded in combat.
