Bronze Star Memorial Site: Notable Deaths & Obituaries

The Bronze Star is a U.S. military decoration awarded for bravery, acts of merit or meritorious service. Established in 1944, the medal has been awarded in every armed conflict in which the U.S. has been involved since WWII. The award is also open to members of foreign armed forces assisting in U.S. military efforts. This memorial site was created to honor the brave men and women who have been awarded Bronze Stars.

Douglas Earl Boyd of Lansing, son of the late Earl and Elsie (Clever) Boyd, was born September 21, 1923, in Holt, MI and passed away on March 25, 2015 in Lansing, MI, at age 91.
