Bronze Star Memorial Site: Notable Deaths & Obituaries

The Bronze Star is a U.S. military decoration awarded for bravery, acts of merit or meritorious service. Established in 1944, the medal has been awarded in every armed conflict in which the U.S. has been involved since WWII. The award is also open to members of foreign armed forces assisting in U.S. military efforts. This memorial site was created to honor the brave men and women who have been awarded Bronze Stars.

MARTINEZ, Ga. - David Alan Powers, 75, entered into rest on Saturday, July 25, 2015. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Platt's Funeral Home Belair Rd. Chapel with Rev. Tom Kalliokoski officiating. David was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army.
