Guest Book Highlights

October 16, 2018 "Have always loved "Bluer Than Blue." After reading of his passing, I now feel bluer than blue. RIP, Michael." - Jonathan Karas (Lowell, MA)
August 20, 2018 "Yes, I remember being introduced to you on WCCO-FM back in the day when "There is a Breeze" came out of the stereo speakers of my parent sound system in the living room, along with a live interview with, if memory serves,-Terri Davis- of WCCO FM fame, which was immediately followed by a purchase of the original issue of the album on Sanskrit, and then the re-issue of the album a couple of years later. I still have both vinyl editions and album covers. I came to see you at the Northrup all by myself because I couldn't find anyone to go with me and yes you were kind enough to perform several segments of classical spanish passages, which reinforced my attempt to play/tune my own nylon string guitar at the time. Then with a move to Nebraska in 1977, fate brought you to Kearney several years later for a live performance that was astonishing, followed by a totally unexpected chance after-show meeting at a local hotel where my companion for the evening worked at the front desk later than night. There you were, walking in to check in for the night and you were kind enough to invite us to spend a few hours socializing. One of the biggest regrets on my life was to turn you down because I had to work in the morning. I was young enough I should have just accepted and stayed up and pushed through the whole thing. Dang. I just learned today, 8/20/18, that you had passed. So, now I am going to purchase the CD version of "There is a Breeze" second edition so that I can once again reminisce and remember those cold winter nights in Minnesota warmed by your music and collaborations with Leo Kottke. Yes....Rooty Toot Toot for the Moon......" - Don Leopold (Hastings, NE)
July 25, 2018 "Godspeed Michael, and thank you for sharing a part of your life with us." - Harry Simpson (Buckeye, AZ)
May 26, 2018 "I am so honored to have known you. So saddened of your passing.
Rest in peace my friend.
Suzette" - Suzette Ricci (Nashville, TN)
January 17, 2018 "I can't believe it's 1/18/18 and I was just playing "Wings" on Utube and saw in the comments he passed away, I couldn't believe it, don't know where to begin, last time I seen him was in Boulder City NV where Desi Arnez jr who was also a big fan of Michael's brought him to his theatre for a concert and I talked with MJ after the show and he remembered when we met at the Jan-Kris winery in Templeton CA where I went to see Kip Attaway and MJ was an added bonus..I can't tell you what an influence he's been on my musical life and I never understood why he wasn't in the superstar status..such a beautiful man and an amazing and underappreciated talent. Sorry I'm still blown away as I'm writing this, next time I sing Wings, or Bristle Cone Pine or the Moon is Still Over, it'll take on a new meaning. My late condolences to the Johnson family and I'm sure that you treasured all the memories and joy he's brought to so many people, I hope he's looking down on me when I'm singing his songs...RIP Michael...

Joe Cannon" - Joe Cannon (Sun Valley, ID)
