Carl LeRoy Bjorkman Obituary

Carl LeRoy Bjorkman Carl LeyRoy Bjorkman, 83, of Woodbridge, passed away October 24, 2012 after a 40 year plus adventure with loving wife A. Gretchen Bjorkman.

Carl will be greatly missed by his sons; Eric Bjorkman and David Bjorkman; a granddaughter; 2 great grandchildren; and his sisters Betty Smith and JoAnne Karaboyas. He was proceeded in death by one brother.

Carl served in the United States Army from 1947 to 1967, which led him to a career as the Divisional Director of Security in OACSI at the Pentagon. He was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening. Carl was a lifetime member of the Elk Lodge, served as Exalted Ruler, and Presidential Aid to the Lodge's VA State President. Carl was also involved with the VFW and American Legion Post 28.

A Life Celebration Service will be held in his honor at 4pm on Friday November 2, 2012 at Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City, Virginia.
