Roy Geiger, age 83, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away December 24, 2012.
He was born in Omaha, Neb., on December 5, 1929, to the late Joseph A. and Irene (Krezner) Geiger. Roy had served his country in the United States Navy. He was the owner/operator of Geiger Enterprise. He was a proud Mason, Shriner and past Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge #531. He held several patents with regard to semi-truck trailers. Roy was also a member of the Pottawattamie County Board of Supervisors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ray and Gene Geiger; and sister, Lorraine Pedersen.
Roy is survived by his daughters, Deborah Monette, Diana Geiger and Cindy Geiger; brother, Keith Geiger; sisters, Ruth Parks, Betty Polsley, Nettie Flegg, Donna Olsen and Iona Wallace; 3 grandsons; 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation is Thursday, January 3, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Friday, 11 a.m., at the funeral home. Entombment is in the Forest Lawn Mausoleum. Memorials are suggested to Kidney Cancer Research.
