Malcolm SIMS Obituary


SIMS, Malcolm J. "Pete," of Richmond, passed peacefully on January 22, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy; his son, Michael Sims and his wife, Peggy; his daughter, Ann Williams and her husband, Bryan; grandchildren, Jessica, Ben and Peter Sims, and Joshua Williams; and extended family. He loved his family and friends and a good laugh. He was active in the Laurel Park Civic Association, was a volunteer fireman, taught Sunday school classes, served as a Deacon, sang in the choir and in several gospel quartets. A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, January 26, at Bliley's - Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Road. A private burial will be held in Mineral, Va. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to North Run Baptist Church or the American Heart Association.
