Carrell William Livingston
Funeral for Carrell William Livingston, 81, of Decatur will be Saturday, February 22, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Shoal Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Chuck Bass and Rev. Gary Linville officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in Shoal Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. at the church.
Mr. Livingston, who died on Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at Huntsville Hospital, was born August 3, 1932, in Morgan County to John Henry and Lillie L. Speegle Livingston. He was a member and a deacon at Shoal Creek Baptist Church where he was the overseer of the cemetery for many years. Mr. Livingston was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the U.S. Army. He worked for General Motors as a maintenance worker and retired in 1999. He was a great man of God and a family man, who loved and cared for his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Robert H. Livingston; and sister, Lottie Echols.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Faye Guyse Livingston; three sons, Keith Livingston (Brie) and Tony Livingston (Hope), both of Hartselle, and Craig "Homer" Livingston of Decatur; one brother, Carl Richard Livingston (Carol) of Decatur; 10 grandchildren, John Henry, Savannah (Aaron), Boone, Darla, Steadman, Chandler, Hunter, Lillie, Truker and Heather; and one great-grandhild, Ocean.
Pallbearers will be Joe Echols, Tim Echols, Ricky Livingston, Leonard Summerford, Keith Jezierski and Tyler Rutherford. www.peckfuneralhome.com
