"I know New Yorkers will miss that cup if it ever goes away completly. Especially the oldtimers. I hope the family can find comfort in the scripture at Revelayion 21:4 where it states that one day God will wipe every tear from our eyes and death will be no more."

Saying good-bye to your parent at any age is painful. I wish you fond memories of the man that you worked with, side by side, for so many years. Please take comfort in the fact that he was proud of you."

"I remember so vividly my very first of cup of hot brewed coffee in one of Mr. Buck's iconic cups == it was during my first ever foray into New York City when I was a college freshman in Westchester County in the late 70s. I remember thinking at that time -- what a cool cup!!!! and I've really arrived!!!! Many years later, I used to get steaming cups of coffee at a little corner grocery on the Upper East Side, who still served their brew in the Buck Cup, and those occasions brought back happy memories of my first Buck Cup experience. What a lovely legacy to leave behind. Now that I know more about the man behind the cup, I will enjoy sipping from them even more in the future. God bless Mr. Buck and my sincerest condolences to his family.
Fondly, a friend in Boston."

"My thoughts and prayers are with the Buck Family in their time of grief. At times like these, drawing close to God in prayer is what will "sustain you." (Psalm 55:22) I hope this will bring the family a measure of comfort.

"To the family of Leslie Buck: I tried to send my condolences to you sooner, but I noticed that it did not get to you. However, I would like for you to know how sorry I am for your loss and hope that you can draw comfort from "the God of all comfort" in your time of grief."
