Korean War Memorial Site: Notable Deaths & Obituaries

Though Korean War hostilities lasted only three years, the "Forgotten War" has never really ended. By the time of the 1953 armistice, 1.9 million Americans had served in the conflict – and 37,000 of them never came home. This memorial site was created to honor and remember veterans of the Korean War. We will not forget you.

YOUNG, Leslie "Pat" Warren, 80, passed away on May 18, 2013. He was born to the late H.L. "Les" and Isabell Young on October 9, 1932 in Caroline County, Va. Pat served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War with the 101st Airborne, receiving the Purple Heart. Pat was a Master Mason with the Tuckahoe Masonic Lodge #347, receiving his 50-year certificate in 2012. He was also a member of Lydale Baptist Church.
