BALLSTON SPA - Bertram L. Powell Sr., 79, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Ellis Hospital after a brief illness. ""Bert"" was born May 28, 1933, in Colonie, N.Y., to the late George and Caroline Powell. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War on the tactical command ship USS Northampton.
