Though Korean War hostilities lasted only three years, the "Forgotten War" has never really ended. By the time of the 1953 armistice, 1.9 million Americans had served in the conflict – and 37,000 of them never came home. Korean War Memorial: Remembering the life, death and legacy of Ramon Calzada

Ramon Calzada, 87, of Deltona died February 28, 2015 in his residence. He was born on May 10, 1927 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico; the son of Felipe and Gregoria (Rios) Calzada. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Ramon worked as a baker until retirement. He married Aida (Nieves) Calzada, and they shared 60 years of marriage.
