Dwight W. Schroder Obituary

Dwight W. Schroder of Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away April 19, 2013.

He was born February 20, 1930, in Carson, Iowa, to the late William and Elma (Kindhart) Schroder. Dwight served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a career truck driver and mechanic.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Schroder; sister, Twyla Killion; brother, Lloyd Schroder.

Dwight is survived by his children, David Schroder (Diane), Dennis Schroder (Rogene), Dean Schroder (Kim Sim), Teresa Bahr (Scott Harris); the children's mother, Kathleen Schroder; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Nancy Schroder; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Dale Cleveland; 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Visitation is Monday, 6 to 8 p.m., at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Tuesday, 10 a.m., also at the funeral home. Interment is in Cedar Lawn Cemetery, followed by a reception in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. Memorials are suggested to Peace Church of the Brethren.
