BERGQUIST, Robert "Bob" G., 84, of Dover, Ohio, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2013. Born on October 29, 1928 in Dover, he was the son of the late Gustav and Mary Graef Bergquist. Bob was a graduate of the Dover High School class of 1947. He honorably served our country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. On October 21, 1950, he married the love of his life, Pauline "Polly" Leaders. He retired after 38 years in the automotive industry. Bob was a member of Grace Evangelical Church in Dover, and Chaplain of the Dover American Legion Post #205. He served as an Elder at Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Callao, Va. In addition to his wife, Polly, he will be sadly missed by his three sons, Steven and Patsy Bergquist, of Maryland, Randy and Adrienne Bergquist of Virginia, and Rick Bergquist of Virginia; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A celebration of Bob's life will take place at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Dover on Tuesday, April 23, 2013. Interment will take place at Dover Burial Park in Dover, where the Dover VFW will conduct military honors. Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Monday, April 22, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. Those unable to attend, or who would like to share a fond memory of Bob may do so by visiting the "Obituaries & Flowers" link on the funeral home's website.
