
Roger C. Henderson, 81, passed away at his home on Thursday, November 15, 2012, surrounded by his loving family.
Roger was born in Omaha, Neb., on January 27, 1931, the son of the late Albert and June Blunk Henderson. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1950. Roger served his country in the United States Air Force from 1951-1954 during the Korean War. After returning from his military service, Roger received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1957. Later that year, he married Jane O'Connor on October 12. Roger worked his entire career at Mutual of Omaha, spanning over 30 years and retiring in 1987.
Roger is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jane; children, Brian ( Wendy) Henderson, Ellen (Vinny) Rallis, Thomas (Deena) Henderson, Stephen Henderson, Ann (Ken) Masker; grandchildren, Cole (Erica), Molly, Shelby, and Shane Henderson, Nick Rallis, John, Mathew, and Jacob Masker, and many nieces and nephews.
Wake service Monday, 6 p.m., followed by visitation until 8:30 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., St. Patrick's Church. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post #2. Luncheon will follow back at St. Patrick's. Memorials are suggested to St. Albert Schools and charity of your choice.
