Jerry A. Clay Obituary


CLAY, Jerry A., 71, of Powhatan, departed this life December 10, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Bessie Clay; daughters, Lisa Parks (Tim) and Lois Vogle; brother, John Clay; sister, Susan Davis; grandchildren, Taylor and Sarah Parks. He served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Cuban Missile Crisis and retired from DuPont after 27 years of service. He fought a very courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rte. 60), Powhatan, with a funeral service following at 2:30 pm. Interment Powhatan Community Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at bennettbardenfh.com.
