Medal of Honor Memorial Site: Notable Deaths & Obituaries

The Medal of Honor is the highest military honor awarded in the United States and is presented personally by the President. It is given to members of the armed services who distinguish themselves "at the risk of his or her life above and beyond the call of duty while engaged in an action against an enemy of the United States." This memorial site was created to pay tribute to those whose outstanding bravery in the face of mortal danger earned them the Medal of Honor.
