Founded in Kentucky in 1888, Moose International now has more than 1.4 million members in chapters throughout America, Canada, Great Britain and Bermuda. Moose lodges are responsible for donating roughly $75 million in community services each year. BOYD, David Thomas, 68, died on May 22, 2012, at his home in Sebring, FL. He was born on March 3, 1944, in St. Joseph, Missouri and moved to Lake Placid, FL with his family in 1948. David retired after 20 years from the United States Air Force in 1982 and served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Placid Post 25 and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 2259 and was of the Christian faith.
