"a couple of years ago, I visited mr. Parks in his 'office'/museum in Atlanta, his lovely and caring wife was there too. it was an honor to meet this American legend, and feel connected with the roots of Nascar.

"Raymond Parks's grandson and namesake, Raymond Parks III, presented Robert with a copy of the book by Neal Thompson, Driving With The Devil. I'm looking forward to reading the book, which I believe, will give an in depth summary of how Raymond Parks played such an instrumental part in getting Nascar started and making it the sport that it is today. I have heard so much about the deceased Raymond Parks that I feel I knew him. After viewing many entries in the Guest Book and reading articles from several of the newspapers about Mr. Parks's life, it seems that he was a compassionate person in so many ways. My sincere condolences to the Parks Family. God Bless."

"To the Family and Friends of Raymond Parks,
From a lover of cars both fast and classic I was deeply sorry to hear of Mr.Parks passing. We are so thankful for his great talent, I know he will be greatly missed.
In this difficult time may the family draw on the many wonderful memories he must have made over the years.
May the comfort of God bring you all a measure of peace.(Psalms 34:18)
