"“When he shall die,
Take him and cut him out in little stars,
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night
And pay no worship to the garish sun.”
? William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet
Ian: a true gentleman, a class act, a kind human being, a funny sprite, a friend to everyone, he became one of Austin's most beloved citizens. He was courage and joy personified. The best kind of rock star: one who was rich at heart. I will miss you."

"What a fantastic keyboard player and musician. He kept the Faces music alive and was instrumental in getting the box set "five guys walk in to a bar" compiled and released. I worked in London for a while and one day went along to a record fayre where he was making a guest appearance. He played a couple of songs on his electric piano and afterwards signed a copy of my "Good boys when they're asleep" CD. Such a friendly funny guy. He will be missed but his contribution to great rock music won't be forgotten. Richard, Glasgow"
