Navy Memorial: Remembering the life, death and legacy of Robert Reiner
Robert P. "Jocko" Reiner, 72, of Middleport, NY, entered into rest on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at his home. Born on July 3, 1940, in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary (Gonnoud) Reiner. Robert graduated from Paul D. Schreiber High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving on the U.S.S. Essex. Robert was employed with various jobs, including working for the Town of North Hempstead, salesman for Barker Chemical Co. and delivering mail for the U.S....
