PIANTANIDA, RAYMOND A., 87 Orange Springs - Raymond A. Piantanida, 87, passed away April 1, 2013 in Gainesville, FL. Born in Hoboken, NJ on September 19, 1925, he joined the Navy at 17 serving in the Pacific Theater on the USS Vicksburg during WWII. He married Genevieve Kelly in 1946 and settled in Boynton Beach, FL where they started a family. Ray entered the home building trade and later created Boynton Engineering, a structural steel company.
