Eugene F. HEAD Obituary


Eugene F. Head, 89, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 9, 2012. He was a member of Bonsack Baptist Church, a veteran of the United States Navy, and retired from the Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carolyn Manware; and one son, Frank Head Jr.; granddaughter, Lahna Manware, and is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Martha L. Head; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Lucie Head, Mark and Barbara Head; son-in-law, Bill Manware; four grandsons; three granddaughters-in-law; two granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2012, at Oakey's East Chapel, with the Rev. Danny Quirin officiating. Interment will be held at Crest Lawn Memorial Park in Atlanta, Ga. on Sunday, December 16, 2012.
