George Leigh Veit Obituary

Veit, George Leigh age 72, of Wayzata, passed away peacefully at home on September 10, 2013. A kind, gentle and devoted father and grandfather, George is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Lee (Gibbs); sons, Charlie (Jenny) of Minneapolis, Andy (Leslie) of Iowa City, IA, and Bobby (Lee) of Raleigh, NC; and eight grandchildren, Julia, Josie, Annika, Keely, Gray, Ella, George and Henry. A U.S. Navy veteran, George worked in international banking for many years. His career took him and his family to London, England for eight years. George was a lover of all things mechanical, and he passed along his passion for aircraft, trains, cars, boats and steam tractors to his sons. Funeral services will be held in George and Mary Lee's hometown of Easton, PA at a later date. Donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society are preferred in lieu of flowers, David Lee Funeral Home Wayzata 952-473-5577
