CUMMINGS, Ronald E. Jr., 87, of Richmond, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013. Mr. Cummings served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a devoted, continuous member of AA for 46 years. He spoke in several states, and in the ending of his many AA talks, he would say, "As long as you stay green, you will keep growing." He leaves many fond and loving memories of AA. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 37 years, Mary Anderson Cummings; two daughters, Brenda Abernathy and Linda Gayle Hoyt; a grandson, Douglas King; and three stepchildren, Syd Chapman, Elizabeth Thurston and Cathy Guirkin. A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Friday at Bliley's- Central, 3801 Augusta Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Healing Place, 700 Dinwiddie Ave., Richmond, Va. 23224 or
