September 07, 2015 "My deepest condolences to the Arbour family. It was with the greatest of sorrow to learn of the passing of the Coach. Not only was he a champion on the ice, but he was a champion off it as well and that is all you need to know about the character of "Radar" Thank you Al, thank you to the Arbour family for some of my greatest childhood memories. Your sacrifices made us proud to be Long Islanders." - Jason Cotsmire (Bangkok)
September 04, 2015 "Mrs. Arbor and Family......I was first introduced to the Islanders when you Mrs. Arbor would come into the art gallery on Wall Street in Huntington to have some sports memorabilia framed and I would frame them for you. You would very often give us your own tickets to the games as a nice gesture. That is when I become hooked and of course is was when we were running the Stanley Cup in the 80's. I remember that I requested if I could get a program signed by the team and you brought it in the following week with all of the signatures including Al's and told me how he himself saw to it that he got as many signatures on it as possible for me and he even included a signed te photo. That was very generous of him to take the time and the effort it took in getting all of those signatures for someone that he never even personally met. It was clear that as important a man as he was especially at that time that he kept to being a good regular guy when he didn't have to be. I still have all of those items that he had gotten signed for me. I had recently read that Al was sick and that you both were now living down here in Florida. I'm sure that his last days were warm and memorable with his family at his side. Take care and I remember you too as being a very warm, sweet and kind woman. I myself have been living over here near Orlsndo for the past 20 years. Take care and God bless!
A forever Islander fan!" - victoria Mooney (Longwood, FL)
