Rudolf Max Molck-Ude Obituary

Molck-Ude, Rudolf Max age 77, died on December 25. Born in Munich, Germany to parents Rudolf and Ilse (Bethge) Molck-Ude, immigrated to the United States at the age of 16, graduated high school in Meridian, Idaho. Served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years as an Aeromedical Specialist. Educated with a B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering at New York University, MBA Degree in Business Administration at Carnegie Institute of Technology and elected president of his SAE Fraternity. His career began at Ingersoll Rand as Managing Director for Eastern Europe living in Vienna, Austria. He then joined Longyear Company as Sales and Marketing Director for Europe living in Holland and later in Mpls, MN. Finally he worked for Donaldson Company as General Manager of the Hydraulics Division living in Bloomington, MN. Rudolf is survived by his wife of 32 years, Roberta (Bolich), his family in Germany: brothers, Dieter (Purzel), Wieland (Ingrid); nephews, Andreas (Christine), Patrick (Sandra); nieces, Pia, Ina (Bastian); great nieces and nephews, Hannah, Ferdinand, Nele, Nick, Niklas, Zoé, Anna and Jannis. Rudolf was preceded in death by Roberta's brother, Dr. Paul Bolich and survived by his wife, Sandy; nieces, Tiffani (Kelly), Heather (Scott), Rebecca (Rian); grandchildren, Madeline, Willie, Libby, Sarah, Annie, Gage and Rian Jr. Rudy lived a fascinating and exciting life; traveled to 78 countries; excelled in music, dance, sports, car restorations, languages, writing and story telling. His nature was wonderful, honest, kind, intelligent, spirited, compassionate and loving. He was a man of the Renaissance living in modern times. He loved his wife and family dearly. Rudy was ill for many years but faced this challenge with dignity, strength and determination. He loved life and putting a smile on peoples' faces. A private family service will be held. He did not wish to have a public service or visitation. Perhaps those of you who knew Rudy will keep a special moment of him in your memory on Christmas Day.
