Dr. David L. Sigvertsen Obituary


Sigvertsen, Dr. David L. age 71, of Brooklyn Park, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013. Preceded in death by parents, Jens & Agnes and brother, Jene. Survived by Esther, his beloved wife of 45 years; children, Christina (Mark) Podvin and Jonathan (Jacqueline); grandsons, Alexander, Andrew and William; sisters, LaVaughn Hughes and Donnarae (Robert) Peterson. Also survived by other family and many friends. Retired as a police officer in 1981 at the rank of Detective. He was president of Minnesota Graduate School of Theology and Executive Director of New Beginnings Family Counseling Clinic. He also was serving as Senior Pastor of New Beginnings Christian Center Chapel. Interment Glen Haven Cemetery. Funeral service Wednesday, Dec. 18, 11 AM, with visitation one hour before at Brooklyn Park Ev. Free Church, 7849 W. Broadway.
