Earnest Moore Obituary

MOORE, Earnest Manley, 94, of Powhatan, died November 7, 2012. He is survived by one son, Forrest Wayne Moore (Kathy) of Powhatan; two grandsons, Jason A. Moore of Florida and Forrest W. Moore Jr. of Powhatan; four great-granchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Mr. Moore was a WWII U.S. Army veteran wounded on D-Day at Normandy and received a Purple Heart. The family will receive friends Thursday (tonight) from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rte.60), Powhatan. Funeral services will be held Friday, 2 p.m., in the Holly Hills Baptist Church, Powhatan. Interment Old Powhatan Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Awona Club Holly Hills Baptist Church.
