Glenn L. "Toots" Stueve Obituary

Glenn L. "Toots" Stueve, age 91, of Council Bluffs, passed away September 22, 2013, at Bethany Lutheran Home.

He was born near Loveland, Iowa, on July 7, 1922, to the late Arthur and Goldie (Hoyt) Stueve. Glenn proudly served his country during World War II as a United States Marine. He received a Purple Heart for his actions at Iwo Jima.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Stueve.

Glenn is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Julie Stueve; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Robert Watts; sisters, Gloria Cargill and Geneva "Nib" Barnette; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and longtime companion, Helen Skelton.

Visitation is Sunday, 6 to 8 p.m., at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Monday, 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment is in the Ridgewood Cemetery followed by a luncheon in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. The family will direct memorials.
