Foster, Ralph Bush, age 86, died in Wichita, Kansas on August 15, 2014. Ralph was born January 31, 1928, to Ralph and Grace Foster on a ranch in west Texas. Ralph spent the majority of his childhood in Ark City, Kansas before attending Oklahoma Military Academy for high school and undergraduate college. He attended Washburn University for his law degree before serving his country in the army during the Korean War. On December 12, 1953, Ralph married the love of his life Barbara Williams, also an Ark City native. Ralph and Barbara raised their family in Wichita and this year celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Ralph was in private practice as an attorney until joining Kansas Gas and Electric in 1972. He served KG&E as Vice President and General Counsel, and sat on their board of directors until his retirement in 1992. He was actively involved in Median Shrine, Salvation Army, the Rotary Club, Bulls and Bear Investment Club, Grace Presbyterian church and was a 32nd degree Mason. Ralph is survived by his wife, Barbara, sons Mark Foster and Robert Foster, both of Wichita, and daughter Jane (Foster) Emley, son in-law David Emley, and granddaughters Ashton and Charlotte Emley of Prairie Village, Kansas. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Grace Foster. Funeral services 11:00am, Thursday, Aug. 21st, at Grace Presbyterian church, 5002 E. Douglas with burial to follow at Kensington Gardens, 11500 E. 21st Street. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Salvation Army, 350 N.
