November 25, 2013 "I saw this sad news recently in the Chicago Tribune. I knew the Lowe sisters from my days growing up in Boca Raton. Please accept my sincere condolences on the tragic passing of your father. He seems to have had a very exciting life doing what he was passionate about." - John Canty (Chicago, IL, IL)

To Bill Lowe's Family...

Perhaps you've heard Bill mention my name. Jim Morrell.

I am very suprized and upset about Bill's passing.
I imagined him in tip top shape from destroying others in
squash or hand ball and in golf.. and to learn he had a heart issue
is unfathomable. Perhaps the high level jobs he had took their toll.
Even tho I am SURE that to him it was all fun.

I consider him one of my very best friend from those days in
Product Test in Endicott. He and I and Rob Vieyra all started there
in 1962. and we all worked hard and played hard. Of course, we played
Basketball. But also fast pitch softball AND touch football. and we
did VERY well. we prided ourselves on defense and managed to beat
nearly evey team besides the IBM Local "All Star team".. in all sports.
And we all were very successful in IBM.

We socialized, too. (smile).. Bill would especially remember going to
"Masi's" after games, and going to our annual New Years Eve outing.

Other names he'd recall fondly were.. Dick Beizel, Hank McCarthy,
Joe Pastore, Jack Cook, Don Cate, Jim Ducey.
And i am surely forgetting others in his memory.

He likely always had a sore middle finger on his right hand. And he
probably always blamed Jim Morrell for that, or my fiance' Donna
Nabinger. In those days i had a '59 MGA, my own first car. Bill and I
were cruising one night with top down. We saw Donna walking and
offered her a ride. Now, there is not room for three people in an MGA
but Bill scootched up on the center console, somehow avoiding
the shifter, and Donna got in. To hold himself steady he had his
hands stretched out on each side to the car frame. When Donna
closed the door, his fingers were still in the doorjam area. And he just
calmly said "Donna can you open the door back up?"..

I would love to see some photos. If you have some group pictures
that would be good. If they are digital, send them to
and if not.. let me know and i will send you my USPS Mail Address.
If any of you are over this way, and would like to have a chat, give
me or Robbie a call. we'd love to have a visit.

You all are in my thoughts.. and prayers..

very fondly,
Jim Morrell" - Jim Morrell (Endicott, NY)
November 07, 2013 "Draw close to God in prayer during this difficult time." - Bankston
November 06, 2013 "My sympathies to the Lowe family. Losing a loved one is heart breaking but God assures all that he heals the broken hearted. Soon he will end death and mourning. May the family find peace and comfort from Him." - A Reed
