January 30, 2018 "I had the most fortunate chance to meet Eunice when Teddy was running for President back in 1978. I was 17 years old in Detroit, Michigan and was assigned to the press bus. It was the primary and at the same time there was a middle east debacle and he had to return to Washington. I stayed in Eunice's room over-seeing her luggage until the bellman came to claim it. While in her room, she called and told me to help myself to the cookies the Women of Saginaw had given her. She was and remains a very remarkable woman." - Melodie Buskirk (Utica, MI)
