
Tonia Lynn Breens Berardino Tonia Lynn Breens Berardino, 68, of Woodbridge died Tuesday, October 23, 2012. Ms. Berardino was born and raised in Essex England. She married an American airman during the Vietnam War and was proud of her American citizenship and British heritage. She was the cofounder of the Williams Syndrome Association in England and an avid supporter of the local Virginia Special Olympics. Ms. Berardino served as director of Minnieland Day School for over 20 years. She lived life to the fullest and appreciated the value of the gifts of life, health, family and friends. She loved to travel. Tonia and her family were very grateful for the kidney transplant she received in 1999 from an anonymous donor which gave her 13 more years with her family. Survivors include her children, Cindy Berardino, John Berardino and wife Melissa, Tiffany Obenhein and husband Scott; brother Peter Breens; six grandchildren Jacob, Maya, and Joshua Obenhein, Chloe, Claire and Jack Berardino. She is preceded in death by her parents Leon and Gladys Breens and her grandson Ryan Berardino. A service will be held at noon on Saturday, Nov. 3 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
