August 03, 2017 "In the '60s Reds radio called Lee "The Big Slam From Birmingham." In 1969 my history teacher, Mr. Foster, said his father was prejudiced, but Lee May could have stayed at his home anytime he wanted. Lee was a special part of my youth and I'll always remember and appreciate him for that. My thoughts, prayers and condolences to the family.
