"Shirely and my mother grew up together in the Tioga neighborhood of Philadelphia. She was a wonderful lady and always stayed interested in our family. I feel fortunate that Donna and I were able to visit with her in NYC last year. She gave us pictures of her and my mother and her mother and my aunt Marie. Our condolences to all who mourn her passing."

"Shirley Herz was an absolute doll!
I had the privilege of working with her in the 1970s and 1980s, along with the great Dorothy Olim and the wonderful Sally Sears.
She was a press agent's press agent. Unlike some of her proteges, she was ALWAYS upbeat, positive, funny, and, always thinking of the show she was representing and its producers.
As I look back on my years in theatre in New York City, Shirley is one of those I think of most fondly. Yes, there were other great publicists of the day, but, none, in my opinion, who cared as much and was so diligent and worked so hard for her clients.
Rest in peace, Shirley.
You were, and will remain, one of the best!
And, thank you for your service to the Broadway, Off Broadway, and even the Off Off Broadway community!
