2011 has seen some of the deadliest tornadoes in U.S. history. On April 27, coming on the heels of a deadly storm system in Arkansas and Mississippi, dozens of tornadoes swept through the South, killing hundreds of people in six states. Hardest hit was Alabama, which saw more than 200 deaths. On May 22, a single EF4 tornado hit the southwestern Missouri town of Joplin. It destroyed much of the town, including the hospital, and killed at least 117 residents, making it the deadliest single tornado since 1953. This memorial site was created to honor and remember all those who have died in the devastating tornadoes of 2011. If you know of someone whose obituary should be included in this site, please
