YATES CITY - The final curtain has dropped on Carolyn's last "stage" of life. Carolyn Lee (Sparks) McCoy, of rural Yates City, died at 5:34 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2013, in her home following a valiant battle with cancer. Carolyn was born Jan. 22, 1941, in Berwyn, the daughter of Doreen (Puterbaugh) Sparks and Bertrand "Bert" H. Sparks, both deceased. Carolyn married Larry E. McCoy on June 16, 1963, at First Presbyterian Church in Elmwood. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary...
