Doyle, Susan Died on July 16 after facing cancer for 19 months, looking it squarely in the eye and dealing with it on her own terms. Susan was the youngest of the nine children of Edward and Edna Doyle of Glen Ellen, Illinois. She was the first in her family to graduate from college, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Illinois. Susan, age 69, was a loving daughter, friend, spouse, parent and grandparent. She had a long career at Hennepin County Felony Probation, where she was known as a tough but compassionate person. Susan showed us all how to face death with courage and grace. One of her favorite quotes was "When all else is stripped away, what remains is love." Susan was able to make this quote a reality in her last months and for that we will be forever grateful. She is survived by loving husband, Richard (Dick) Oberg; mother-in-law, Marie Oberg; children, Kathy Wetzel-Mastel (Brent) and Paul Wetzel (Kristin); step-children, Kathie Moothaden (George), Kristin Klund (Kraig) and Jessica Oberg; 11 grandchildren, Asha, Raj, Isabela, Anjali, Anika, Gabriel, Vince, Jack, Carmen, Ben, and Everett; and the Doyle clan, including her 7 surviving siblings and their families.
