University of Iowa Memorial Site: Notable Deaths & Obituaries

Founded in 1847, the University of Iowa has been ranked as one of the top 10 international universities in the U.S. and was the first university to offer a Master of the Fine Arts. Its Iowa Writers Workshop is the most prestigious writing program in the country, and the school also has a proud history of athletics with many former Hawkeyes on the rosters of current NBA and NFL teams. This memorial site was created to pay tribute to all who've contributed to the University of Iowa's rich legacy.

Sherrill Boyle Phoenix, AZ Sherrill Lee (Hansen) Rinden Boyle passed away at her home in Phoenix, Arizona on Sunday August 23, 2015 at the age of 73. Sherry was born in Davenport, Iowa.
