"Since I was a little girl, I remember my dad always enjoyed Jane's reviews and would read them to me and my brothers after dinner. We were music lovers and my father worked in the classified ads department as manager for The Plain Dealer. My dad's name was Pepe Paris. I remember when the Beatles first came to Cleveland in 1963 or so...and Jane Scott gave my dad a newsprint plate of The Beatles...and I still have it! I also remember and have the review of Jane's.. when Jimi Hendrix first came to Cleveland! I will miss Jane's reviews, as this was part of my growing up life to read her articles whenever I went to most of the concerts in the 60's and 70's."

"Jane, thank you so much for the countless concerts you invited me to tag along with you to. I learned so much. You will always be my inspiration. From you I learned that there is a polite and good way to say and write anything. You are irreplaceable as a friend and as a journalist. Words will never adequately express how much I valued your presence in my life.

"On this we can all agree: Everybody knew Jane! Long before my Scene Magazine days, Jane knew my dad going back to the '50s. All the newspaper people, writers, artists, photographers, etc. socialized back then. (Different times.) When she interviewed him at his studio upon his retirement, she was covering both the senior citizens beat and the rock beat for the Plain Dealer. I still find that amazing. Every time she'd see me, she'd say, "Your Mom and Dad are so short. You're so tall. How did that happen?" Great life. Great spirit. Can't wait to see what she'll do for an encore."
