Dwight W. Gunberg Obituary

Gunberg, Dwight W. Of Minneapolis. Passed away on Friday, April 19th, at the age of 87 years. Preceded in death by his parents, Petrus and Emma; brother Elmer; son-in- law, Chuck Pugh and granddaughter, Hannah Rose Lucht. Survived by wife of 57 years, Frances; children, Kristine Pugh, Jane Matheson (Sheldon), Peter (Gaylene), and Karen Lucht (Troy); grandchildren, Guy Pugh, Emily Peterson (Bryan), Annie and Katie Matheson, Jared (Becca), Sarah and Sam Lucht, and Jimmy Paenkhay; great-grandchildren, Joshua and Annika Peterson, and sister, Inez Gunberg. Dwight served in the US Army Infantry in France and Germany during WWII. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, he was a teacher and an administrator in several Minnesota schools and later served as Dean at Northwestern College in Roseville. Visitation with the family 6-8 PM MONDAY, Brookdale Covenant Church, 5139 Brooklyn Boulevard, Brooklyn Center, MN . A celebration of our gratefulness to God for Dwight's life will be held at the church on TUESDAY, 2 PM with Visitation 1 hour prior.
