Fred A. Brant Obituary

Brant, Fred A. age 73, died at the Catholic Eldercare in Mpls on Sunday, March 24, 2013. He was born January 26, 1940 in Mpls before settling in Fridley. He graduated from the University of Minnesota and worked at 3M and FMC as an engineer before owning his own business F&F Metal Sawing until retiring in 2002. Fred was an avid outdoorsman, his passions were hunting and fishing. He and his wife Peggy looked forward to their weekends on the lake together or out in the woods hunting. Survivors include his wife, Margaret "Peggy"; sons, Peter and Andy; and daughter, Katy Okerstrom; Peggy's daughters, Carolyn Olson, Barbara (Jeff) Blake, and Ann (Kevin) Strasser; 16 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by first wife, Kathy; infant daughter; parents, Richard and Juanita; and brother, Brian. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, March 27 at 11 AM with visitation 1 hour before at the Church of St. William, 6120 5th St. NE, Fridley. Interment Hillside Cemetery.
